VMAs - Reasons to watch even though Robert Pattinson is not attending... and an Ashley Greene rant..

There will be no ROb, no Kristen, no Taylor, not even a Kellan or Jackson at the VMAs (according to reports, though I am still hopeful someone will show up) The only one scheduled is ... Ms Greene.

I have no REAL issue with her, I promise, She just annoys me... ha ha - I just feel like she has personal papz and we see her everyday, shopping, or gassing up, or talking on the phone, or wandering or drinking coffee or (best of all) kissing various hot boys

Here she is after a fitting for the VMA's tomorrow...

Ashley Greene is the only Twi Star scheduled to attend the VMAs and perhaps that is why I haven't really been as psyched as usual by them.. then again, I have been so busy with life... *sigh*

Regardless she is presenting and there are some other really cool rumours going around such as a Taylor Swift revenge song... tee hee watchout Kanye

We all remember last year's "debacle" as they call it...

AP Reports:

NEW YORK — Be warned, Kanye: Taylor Swift has written a song about you, and she's singing it at Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards.

The country superstar's win for best female video last year was marred when Kanye West got on stage and said it should have gone to Beyonce.

Swift wrote a song about the experience earlier this year, and a source familiar with the show said Saturday the 20-year-old will sing the new song at the VMAs, which will be aired live on MTV. The source did not want to be identified because of the sensitivity of the matter.

The song is on Swift's upcoming album "Speak Now," due out in October. The source said Swift performed it during a secret rehearsal in Los Angeles for the VMAs on Friday.

Though the West-Swift moment only lasted but a few minutes, it has endured for what seems to be a lifetime. It became a cultural watershed moment and gave West the most intense backlash of his career, despite an apology delivered later.

Apparently Kanye is performing too, I will bet he sings his song he wrote for Taylor... his apology... hmmm... Both are also nominated for awards.

Speaking of Kanye did you see his tweets... he went on and on and on and I think he honestly needs medication...

Taylor had also tweeted something long the lines of: Even though Kanye said sorry on twitter I won't sing a song with him... it was gone when I went back to copy it...

At least there is something controversial and exciting planned for the VMAs ha ha

The performances. I got to see Travie McCoy on Leno when RPattz was on in June and I just loved Gym Class Heroes so I am excited to see them perform. Other performances I am excited about include:

BoB and Hayley Willians (who have never even MET despite their hit collaboration "airplanes" ha ha)

also Eminem's performance (although Rihanna can't be there). He is supposed to be opening the show and I am thrilled, something about him - rawr!

AND Florence + The Machine who was features on the Eclipse Soundtrack (Heavy in your arms) as well as Eat, Pray Love and a few awesome SYTYCD Routines as well. I am such a fan of their sound and of FLorence Welch's voice... Read 5 things you should know about Florence + the Machine.

Other performances include Jason Derulo, Drake, Usher, Outkast and G-Unit,

Other things to look forward to? What will Lady Gaga wear? also Chelsea Handler and Aziz Ansari... I imagine I will be giggling and "oh no they di-hint" - ing throughout the show.... Presenters.. well we have Ashley Greene representing Twilight (woo... sigh) and then the Glee Cast and Jersey Shore trash and who knows who else will show up, what they will wear and what they will SAY or DO!

Though I honestly forgot VMAs were on this weekend until tonight ha ha (Sorry was pre occupied with preparing for True Blood Finale) I am now excited to tune in tomorrow...

Will you Watch?

What are you looking forward to most?

Wolf Transformation Fail

This made me laugh...

Twifans and Stephenie Myer - another post

I love that we get weekly posts from all the fan sites that got to meet with SM in June.. here is another one from Twifans.

Twifans.com ask Stephenie Meyer about the Official Twilight Guide by twifans

Transcript
Alison: And the real question was......is there any word on the official Twilight guide?

TST: Now that “Bree” (the book “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner”) is out, and it’s out of there…

SM: Oh, I know…

Alison: Please tell us, it's not like Midnight Sun, like you’re not doing it?

SM: Oh no, no, it's continuing. It just…it keeps evolving. So then we have to catch up… I don't know. I hope that when it comes out, it's amazing. Because it seems like a lot of effort has been put into it at this point. And it is kind of evolving, and "let's do this, no let's do this". It's going to have a lot of great information, and it’s really cool. I think my favorites are the genealogy charts for the Quileutes. They are beautiful....they're lovely.

TST: We want to know when it's going to be done. That's what everyone wants to know. They're like "I've pre-ordered it!"

SM: Now it's like, okay, do I have to go back and add some Bree stuff now too? I guess I kinda do.

Alison: It's almost like you have to wait until everything is (inaudible) ya know? Like a family scrapbook. You just keep adding all the....

SM: Well, there's a lot of people involved and then collating all this information and putting it all together. It's a lot of.....it's interesting, because there have been some guides put out that have SO much misinformation, they are dead wrong; I think you can figure out from the books, they’re dead wrong! So it's my mission that this has everything correct. Which would be great. Hopefully, not forever.....to go on it, we'll see. You know....movies interrupt things a lot. Movies are a time-sucker!

Tinsel Korey at XBOX Party - talks BD

Ashley Greene presenting at VMAs but where is everyone else?

Dragon Con 2010 Panel - Twilight Cast Videos

Some of the questions covered in video 1 are:
“Who would win in a fight? Felix or Jane?”
“Could you talk about working with different directors?”
“If your 10yr old selves chose your movie roles for you, what would they be?”
“Did you have any artistic input in the Quileute tattoos and did anyone go get one for real?

Working with Dakota Fanning:

What would Stephenie Meyer write next?

Twilight Series Theories posted another transcript and audio discussion from the fansite meet up with Stephenie Meyer in June.

Volvos, Proposals, Teens, and Religion, features talks on all of those topics and more... Here is a cool excerpt:

LT: If you were forced to write a sequel or some novella, which—what character or characters would you do?

SM: If I were to go ahead with sequels, and I think that I’ve already stated this in some book thing, I would tell it from two narrators again, although I think I’d switch back and forth and it would be Nessie and Leah. And you know it’s funny because a lot of people are like—I’ve read a lot of theories about why I felt compelled to have Bella have a baby and there’s only one reason and it’s not because—there isn’t a lot of really negative stuff—it’s not because you know Bella needed to have a baby or anything, it’s because I knew—it was really clear because I’d already done “Forever Dawn”—once Bella becomes a vampire she loses her relatability. It’s subtle, but you no longer could do anything she could do and it really, as a narrator, she—I wanted to continue, I wanted to show where she went with it—but as a narrator she loses a lot of her appeal because she’s a vampire now and it’s really interesting to see how she does things but emotionally I felt like the tie was not as strong. I wanted my narrator for the next story. When I was writing this I was never gonna stop and I may go back to it, but like I said there’s the burnout factor that you don’t take into account and working on the movies, it’s a lot of vampires. But Nessie was created because she was the logical voice, you have someone who’s half-human, half-vampire who doesn’t fit in anywhere and is an outsider in some ways, but then loved and cherished by her family. But all the intricacies—she had so many problems, so many challenges so she was so attractive to me as a narrator…”

Lot's more cool stuff... See the full transcript and the rest of the audio file on Twilight Series Theories

Twilight Saga Eclipse DVD December 4, 2010

I posted a while back that the Eclipse DVD would come out in early December. Now it seems an exact date has been set... though until Summitt officially announces it we can't be certain, it looks promising with multiple sources quoting this date. So, Mark your Calendars and be sure to examine the different options (though I hope it isn't as complicated as New Moon's bazillion versions were) ha ha

2 Breaking Dawn Casting Rumours

Itis pretty ridiculous that filming is set to start soon and we have very little info on new csat... that being said many of the newbies won't be inthe first part so I suppose we have time, but I wanna know NOW!!

Here are the two latest rumours..

More... The first is Drew Roy, who the site notes is "rumored" to play "Nahuel."

The second is Guri Weinberg, who IMDb.com has listed as "Stefan."

Only time will tell.... but I hope we get some news soon!!

Sofia Coppola talks Breaking Dawn with MTV

MTV writes:

"While the "Breaking Dawn" director's chair for both parts 1 and 2 is officially occupied by Bill Condon, "Twilight" fans know that there were several other high-profile names attached to the project before Condon signed on.

Among them was "Lost in Translation" and "Marie Antoinette" director Sofia Coppola. When we caught up with the writer/director to discuss her upcoming Chateau Marmont-set film, "Somewhere," we asked her if there was any truth to the "Dawn" director rumors.

"Yeah, yeah, I talked to them about that," Coppola revealed to MTV News. "I was interested in doing something but I didn't end up doing it. But I love, I'm impressed by Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattison pulling it off in that whole story," she said. "And my friend's kids love the story so much that I thought it would be fun to make something that they love so much."

Asked what she liked best about the blockbuster vampire franchise, Coppola admitted she goes weak in the knees for romance.

"I just love that it's so romantic," she told us. "I'm always a sucker for a love story and also to do something for teenagers, because I feel like, why not have beautiful cinematography and all these things in a kid movie? Usually it looks like it's not crafted very sophisticated, and I feel like it'd be nice to bring that kind of style into a younger film."

Perhaps the studio heads can line up Coppola for the talked-about film version of the "Eclipse" novella, "The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner"?"

Upcoming Movies I want to see.. Fall 2010

There are so many amazing movies coming out... Some will be in theatres soon, others I am wishing I could see at one of the many Film Festivals coming up... oh to win the lotto and be able to travel...

Anyhow, here are some movies I look forward to seeing, it is by no means an extensive list just the ones on my mind right now...

September 10 -

The Romantics:
Seven close friends reunite for the wedding of two of their friends. Problems arise because the bride and the maid of honor have had a long rivalry over the groom.
Starring: Katie Holmes, Anna Paquin, Josh Duhamel.

This looks awesome, I am anxious to see Katie again and Sookie too ;)

September 17-
The Town:
As he plans his next job, a longtime thief tries to balance his feelings for a bank manager connected to one of his earlier heists, as well as the FBI agent looking to bring him and his crew down.
Starring: Jon Hamm, Blake Lively, Ben Affleck, Jeremy Renner

This just looks good - - I love the concept.

Easy A:
A clean-cut high school student relies on the school's rumor mill to advance her social and financial standing

this just looks like my kind of funny cute movie.. can't wait!

October 1 -
Chain Letter:
A maniac murders teens when they refuse to forward chain mail.

Finally this movie is coming out... I love Nikki Reed so I am excited to see this movie. Plus, thriller/horrors rock my world so this is a double win.

Let Me In:
A bullied young boy befriends a young female vampire who lives in secrecy with her guardian.

This looks creepy but good. A remake of an already pretty great film - could go either way.

The Social Network.
A story about the founders of the social-networking website, Facebook.

This just seems super cool... I wish they did one about TOM, the dude from myspace... ha ha.

Oct 8 -
Stone:
A convicted arsonist looks to manipulate a parole officer into a plan to secure his parole by placing his beautiful wife in the lawman's path.
Starring: Milla Jovovich, Robert De Niro, Edward Norton

I think this will be awesome DeNiro and Norton = win!

Oct 22 -
Paranormal 2.

So I JUST saw the first one last week and thought it was pretty lame compared to what people made it out to be. Maybe it was scarier in theatres, maybe if it was based on actual events it would scare me but it wasn't and it isn't so it was just a waste of time... that being said I will watch 2nd one... though probably not until it's on free demand of my PVR like I did with the first ha ha - Katie is back so we will see what possibly could happen ha!

Oct 29 -
Saw 7 (3D):

I actually would like to have a SAW marathon the weekend after Halloween (I am wayyy too busy in October) and then go see this. I love horror movies and I love them in 3D (My Bloody Valentine) - - - Don't judge me, it's just that I like to be scared and things flying at you in 3D is awesome!

Nov 5 -
Welcome to the Riley's:

So psyched to see this movie. Kristen Stewart is in it and she looks like she did an amazing job.. I may actually get to see this movie sooner than Nov 5 which would kick - ass but I will deffo do a review regardless of when I see it.

127 Hours:
A mountain climber becomes trapped under a boulder while canyoneering alone near Moab, Utah and resorts to desperate measures in order to survive.

I love Franco and this looks like a good flick plus it is based on true events which I love *ahem NOT Paranormal Activity*

Nov 19 -
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows:

No words needed

Dec 1 -
Black Swan:
This is another one I hope to see early but otherwise in December. It looks amazing, Natalie Portman rules!

Dec 26 -
Blue Valentine.
Another one I hope to see at a film festival before December. I love Ryan Gosling and even Michelle Williams.

This is a horrible quality video but it's all I could find

Cold Fish:
Directed by Shion Sono (Love Exposure) COuld be VERY interesting...

I saw the devil:
A secret agent tracks a serial killer who murdered his fiancée.

My Korean friends recommend this one - looks awesome!

A Horrible Way to Die:
An escaped murderer is in pursuit of his ex-girlfriend, who has fled to start a new life in a small town

Dec 10 -
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader :
Lucy and Edmund Pevensie return to Narnia with their cousin Eustace where they meet up with Prince Caspian for a trip across the sea aboard the royal ship The Dawn Treader. Along the way they encounter dragons, dwarves, merfolk, and a band of lost warriors before reaching the edge of the world.

See trailer here.

This movie was put on hold and almost cancelled a few times.. I am a huge fan of the series, in fact along with Twilight and Harry Potter and Percy Jackson, I'd love to see this entire Narnia series made ... as well as Wrinkle in Time, why hasn't anyone picked that up?

Anyhow, I need sleep - that's just a list of movies I have been thinking about lately... I really wish I could go to TIFF to see a few but it's just not happening this year, though I shall try for other Film Festivals this year...

Comments? Thoughts? Any movies you share an interest in seeing? Any you can't believe I am interested in seeing?

More on Robert Pattinson at Crickets Bar & Grill in Lubbock

The Daily Toreador reports:

"Screaming girls, and guys, were crowded around the front door of Crickets Bar & Grill around 2 A.M Tuesday morning to get a glimpse of Twilight’s Robert Pattinson. Girls franticly fought their way to the front of the crowd, some with cardboard cutouts of the actor in tow, just to sneak a peek through the window.More...

Kevin McBride, the general manager at Cricket’s, said that Pattinson was just passing through with a couple of friends. While his friends enjoyed some karaoke and pool, Pattinson just tried to relax and keep to himself, he said.

“He was a real nice guy,” McBride said.

Although Cricket’s capacity is 253, they only let about 100 people stay in the building once Pattinson arrived, he said.

Roxane Fahim, a senior marketing and advertising major from Dallas, showed up to Cricket’s right when the superstar arrived. She said it was hard to tell if it was real or not, but once she sat down next to him, she realized it was Pattinson himself.

Although she didn’t get a chance to talk to him, she did hear him talking to his friends and people around him.

“You’d get kicked out if you tried to talk to him or take a picture with him,” she said.

Devoted Twilight fans Jessica Ramos and Angel Alavrado, both sophomore education majors from Lubbock, were waiting outside the back door of the bar to get a glimpse of Pattinson. They said they saw a picture on a teacher’s Facebook and preceded to call and confirm from that teacher Pattinson was really in Lubbock. Once they had verification, they were on their way to Crickets, Raymos said.

“We just took off,” Alvarado said. “We just grabbed our keys and left.”

While some wonder why a fan brought a Rob cut-out my question is why did these kids have their TEACHERS facebook? and why was that teacher posting real time photos of Rob at a bar? Around here teacher's don't have students on facebook, nor do they advertise that they are at a bar at 2am on a school night ha ha #justsayin

Here are pics from inside:

SYTYCD Canada 18 becomes 16 as two more dancers are sent home

My power rankings last night were pretty accurate once again, well two out of three is not bad.. certainly better than my first week’s epic fail ha ha….

Here is how tonight’s episode went:

Opening Number:
“Let Go” – Mitzi Gaynor
Mia Michaels

Sliding around, bright coloured suits, smoke sticks in their mouths, sharp movements and jumps mixes with slow groovy motions.

Judges:
Blake McGrath
Tre Amrstrong
Jean-Marc Genereux
Special Guest – Melissa Williams

Results:

Amanda and Denys – safe

Kloe and Jonathan – safe

Janick and Shavar – safe

Jera and Kirsten – dancing for their lives

Claudia and Edgar – dancing for their lives

Charlene and Jeff – safe

Nathalie and Mackenzie – safe

Julia and Jesse – dancing for their lives

Danielle and Sebastian – safe

Solo’s – Dancing for their life:

Females:
Kirsten – seemed nervous with a few wobbles but overall strong movement
Claudia – Again, I expect a lot from women’s ballroom solo and she didn’t quite bring it as much as I would have liked.
Julia – Had a more entertaining ballroom solo than Claudia in my opinion

Males:
Jera – very passionate he danced like he meant it
Edgar – I love his solo’s he is smooth and has swagga’
Jesse – he danced for his life… holy passion

Sent home:
-Julia
-Jera (not unanimous – Tre was in tears)

Thoughts:

I was shocked Jera went home. I thought Edgar would to be honest. Julia did not surprise me though I would have sent Claudia home, she is a one-trick pony in my opinion.

And now we are down to 16…

Thoughts?

Happy Tuesday

I hope you all enjoyed your long weekend. It is back to school here in Vancouver and my kiddo is excited for grade 2.

I posted new stuff last night after a few days off. Scroll down and see what you m,issed. Also my side bar has links you may wish to check out.

Also here is something from IlseGomez at TwiFans.com

Here's something cool to start your day - embrace your inner Twilight Fan...

SYTYCD Canada Top 18 Perform

The judges main message to viewers was to VOTE!!!! So I encourage everyone tonight to please do just that... VOTE VOTE VOTE!!!

This was challenging because some of the routines were good but came from dancers who have been repeatedly in the bottom 3... so, with all things considered here are my thoughts...

More... Last Week's Power Rankings were accurate so we will see how I do this week. Here is my post as seen onPURE SYTYCD....

Please feel free to comment if you agree, disagree or have anything to add or say. I am not even 100% sure I agree with my ranking, it was really hard tonight.

********** TOP 3 **********

1. Danielle & Sebastian – contemporary – Sabrina Matthews
Gunnin’ – Hedley
1-866-977-4606

Emotional Concept of struggling with eating disorders. Beautiful and powerful movements. Very strong total goose bumps awesome routine. My fave of the night.

2. Charlene & Jeff - Hustle – Maria Torres
That’s Where the Happy People Go – The Trammps
1-866-977-4604

Some amazing twists, flips and lifts I actually got goose bumps with the one major trick. I really enjoyed the routine. It was challenging and they pulled it off wonderfully.

3. Janick & Shavar – Hip Hip – Luther Brown
Lil Freak – Usher ft Nicki Minaj
1-866-977-4602

Much harder hitting than last week. Smooth groove. She impressed me and he was predictably good in his genre. I kept moving this up and down but decided on third place. It was awesome.

********** MIDDLE **********

4. Natalie & Mackenzie – Cha Cha – Gustavo Vargas
I like it – Enrique Inglasis ft pitbull
1-866-977-4605

It felt a bit slow for me but other than that it was really fun and sexy. The judges loved it but they seem to almost love everything don’t they? So much for critiques.

5. Kirsten & Jera – 90s Hip-Hop – ShoTyme
Now that we found the love – Heavy D & The Boyz ft Aaron Hall
1-866-977-4607

Old School Love. Lot’s of old bounce moves that brought me back. A bit off at times but totally fun and gave me a good laugh remembering when people really danced this way.

6. Amanda & Denys - Quick Step – Tony & Melanie
Feelin’ Good – Colin James
1-866-977-4601

Fast and fun. Nice flips and spins. Some rocking out that made it more enjoyable to watch than most quick steps.

********** BOTTOM 3 **********

7. Claudia & Edgar – Jazz – Sean Cheesman
Imposible – Shontelle
1-866-977-4608

Slow start. Amazing lift spin, great chemistry for one week together. Goosebumps at times which usually means top 3 but I just don’t think it will happen based on their history so far. I hope they stay out of the bottom three this week, this routine was amazing! I am putting them 7th but I feel like they should be about 4th based JUST on tonight.

8. Kloe & Jonathan – West Coast Swing – Benji Schwimmer
Clocks - Vitamin String Quartet
1-866-977-4609

This was a really challenging routine that didn’t feel west coast swing. Benji is amazing and the two danced really well. It was beautiful to watch. I just think it was a bit too much that didn’t fully come together.

9. Julia & Jesse – Contemporary – Stacey Tookey
Falling – Florence and the Machine
1-866-977-4603

Beautiful piece by Stacey however Melissa was right it lacked connection at times and a few lifts seemed flawed. That being said I enjoyed the routine but it was tough to pick a bottom 3 and this is just how they measured up for me overall. I don’t think I’ve ever put a Tookey routine in bottom three… eek!

Bachelor Pad - Couples

Pretty silly that a balloon toss had some of the girls so emotional. Tonight's episode sent three women home after the men chose women to partner up with and so we said good bye to three ladies and moved into a couple's game versus men vs women.

Peyton and Jesse B
Elizabeth and Kovaks
Tenley and Kiptyn
David and Natalie

Strategy and love and drama.. gotta love it

I really hoped Peyton and Jesse B woudl stay but darnit Kiptyn is too loyal... ah well I like Kiptyn he is the nicest of the guys but Tenley annoys me and Elizabeth is nuts so I guess Natalie is who I like out of girls...

WHo knows what will happen next.

Big Brother

So Big Brother last night showed us Hayden winning HoH and nominating Lane and Britney. I predicted this but I also wondered what if he had put Lane and Enzo up to back door Britney but Britney won Veto and saved Lane... THEN Enzo would have to go home right? Because Britney won veto and can't be put up and Lane is saved and Hayden is HoH... or am I wrong?

Anyways I looked at spoilers..

Hayden won Veto and keeps nominations the same....

So who will Enzo vote out? Britney would be likely but Hayden and Lane are likely to take each other, though taking Enzo would be good since he never wins anything, he also started the Brigade and could get votes that way....

In which case he could vote Lane out and have a better chance of being taken to the end by Britney or Hayden both who have played better than Enzo and may take him as an easy to beat...

I don't know time will tell.

Baton Rouge Breaking Dawn Updates

Parts of this article confirm what a local told me last week regarding pre-production, other parts don't quite jive.. either way here is the latest report on Baton Rouge Breaking Dawn Pre-Production:

More... For confidentiality reasons, we can't talk specifics about productions that we're dealing with," said Patrick Mulhearn, Director of Studio Operations at Celtic Studios.

"Well, there's not too much I can say about the details of 'Twilight,'" said Chris Stelly, Director of Film Industry Development with the Louisiana Economic Development.

While the movie's publicist will only say the "when" for production kickoff is late this fall, a commercial real estate agent says one of his lease properties is where pre-production is in full swing.

"'Twilight' is going to do most of their production in Baton Rouge indoors, so they are leasing part of the building for offices, art studio, etc.," said Mark Hebert with Kurtz & Hebert Commercial Real Estate.

That building is the old Coca Cola plant on Airline Highway. It's across the street from Celtic Studios, where the film "The Big Valley" is just ramping up, and the production for "Battle: Los Angeles" recently wrapped. Whether or not "Twilight's" last installment, "Breaking Dawn," is coming to Celtic, the studio says big bucks follow big projects.

"Each production is like a small army, so you're having to feed a small army, you're having to house them, you're having to entertain them," said Mulhearn.

In the case of "Twilight," Baton Rouge will also benefit from the twi-hards.

"What you'll see is much like what 'Steel Magnolias' did for Natchitoches," said Stelly. "People go to Natchitoches to this day to see the house in 'Steel Magnolias.'"

The Baton Rouge area is counting on it.

"'Twilight,'" said Stelly, "it's gonna be a great addition to our cannon."
